Louise Jones Barnette

January 11, 1931 - March 21, 2014

Louise Jones Barnette, 83, of Willis’ Pass, Crumpler, NC, and of Mooresville, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014, at her home in Crumpler, NC. Born January 11, 1931, in Mooresville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Bruce Parker Jones and Rowena Williford Jones. Mrs. Barnette was a graduate of Mooresville High School and NC Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She was retired owner/operator of Custom Products, Inc., which she and her husband founded in the basement of their home. Mrs. Barnette was a very active member of Central United Methodist Church, Mooresville. She was a charter member, along with her husband, of Lake Norman Shrine Club. Mrs. Barnette was also a member of Adah Chapter 258 Order of Eastern Star. She was a very strong and sensitive woman. Mrs. Barnette was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Lee Barnette; grandson, Lee Barnette and sister, Shirley Jones Beaver McCall. She is survived by longtime friend and companion, Joe Starnes; children, Lynda B. Rumple and husband, Tim, of Mooresville, and Bill B. Barnette, of Crumpler; grandsons, Jeff Barnette and wife, Rebecca, and Chris Morris and wife, Shannon; and great grandchildren, Ava Lea and Kayden Barnette and Mitchell and Mackenzie Morris. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Central United Methodist Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Randy Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM, Monday, March 24, 2014, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, Growth Fund, 214 N. Academy St., Mooresville, NC 28115 or Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Oasis Shriners, 604 Doug Mayes Place, Charlotte, NC 28262.
